TAB technicians are responsible for balancing air and hydronic systems to meet specifications outlined by the design engineer and project documents while meeting or exceeding the AABC (Associated Air Balance Councill)
Responsibilities:
Take a proactive approach in participating in the company’s TAB Technician Training Program to ensure all required AABC and company standards and practices are maintained.
The company’s educational program for TAB Technician Training was implemented to ensure team member success and increased customer satisfaction through project consistency.
Inspect systems to verify compliance with plans and specifications and to detect potential or existing malfunctions in system components.
Adjust systems for meeting the required settings through performance testing.
Testing the performance of air and hydronic systems.
Read and interpret project mechanical drawings, specifications, and equipment performance data to determine proper balancing techniques and project management approaches.
Prepare each project by conducting a system design review and assembling the required test forms for documentation purposes.
Maintain proper documentation of daily activities using project specific reporting procedures.
All Testing, Adjusting, and Balancing performed, and any issues discovered are to be addressed fully using clear verbiage and accompanied with supporting documentation (as required).
